It has been a while since I have taken photos of my own children. The weather in Tacoma was wonderful this weekend and I couldn't pass up the opportunity. Plus, Spring Cleaning was on my TO DO list so it was easy to push it aside ;o)

Photographing your own children can be really frustrating. Claire was a stinker. She looked like she was in serious pain in most of the photos and Audrey.... well she was a gem :-) Preteen in front of a camera.... a walk in the park!

Christmas.

My favorite holiday tradition is Christmas cards. Every year I make my own and love love doing it.

Flannel jammies speak "Happy Holidays" loudly. What do you think?

Fall is by far my favorite time of year! I love the fleece sheets (yes fleece) on my bed, latte's, my Smartwool socks, blazers, boots, jeans, cute scarves, the falling leaves, the crisp air, electric blankets, snuggling... I could go on and on.

Here are a few pics from our venture to the Pumpkin Patch this year. Mmmmm... pumpkin pie.

So, the last 2 pictures are hilarious (I could not resist) - Audrey was so bummed out when she realized I had caught her coming out of the Honey Bucket. HHEHEHEHE

How sweet is this? I felt a little bad documenting this moment but I am glad I did. Look how dad turned this whole scenario around... Audrey, Claire and I are very fortunate to have this wonderful man in our life. I love you , Mike.

Audrey is 10 and I cannot believe that Claire a.k.a. Bear is almost 4!

They were being very uncooperative today. I must admit I am a bit more rough on them than my usual clients. They constantly want to be goof balls. I love goofy pics but I also want to capture the sweet tenderness I see everyday.

My friend Ryan came over today with her daughters for a play date/girl talk. Kendall was downstairs with us when the sun came shining through my living room window - Kendall looked so pretty with the sun shining through her hair. As a photographer I am always imagining life as a photograph. My wheels are always spinning away - cropping and framing a scene. I rarely go grab my camera. Well, today I am so glad I did. Doesn't Kendall look beautiful? Look at those eyes.......

It finally snowed today! I am always amazed that Mt. Rainier is visible from just about anywhere in Tacoma - however, we rarely see snow in our yard. I woke up early (6am) this morning by Mike saying that it had snowed. I was so excited and could not get back to sleep. When the girls woke up they were immediately itching to get outside. It took quite a while to get out the door. We had to locate hats, gloves, boots, warm jackets, etc.... All you moms know what I am talking about. 45 minutes later we stepped outside. Here are a few of my favorite shots of the girls this morning.

Have fun in the snow today!

Well, I have taken the plunge into the scary world of advertising... I mean purchased advertising :-) Until today I have relied solely on word of mouth; which has treated me well. When I started my business three years ago I refused to pay for advertising the first couple of years. Who can afford advertising these first few years in a small business? Well, I am ready to step things up a bit – move to the next level. I believe I have chosen the best company to help keep me busy this summer. I am anxious to meet the happy couples that will be coming my way.
